We have been to both the IVT Expo in Chicago, USA (August 31 and September 1) and the Finnmetko exhibition in Jämsä, Finland (September 1–3).
Claudio Talamo and Thomas Plahn went to Chicago, and Patrik Widstrand and Susanne Hedin went to Finland. The Chicago expo was in a huge convention centre, while Finnmetko took place in the woods. While Thomas and Claudio were enduring a temperature of 30°C, Patrik’s and Susanne’s experience was slightly cooler. Oh, the different places you get to see when you sell joysticks!
How was it?
Thomas reports that they met the right people in Chicago; a mix of machine manufacturers, engineers and distributors. They saw many competitors as well. When people came to Caldaro’s booth, they appreciated that our joysticks were both smooth, precise, and stable to handle.
Patrik happily reported that Finnmetko was one of the best expos he has attended since he started to work at Caldaro almost nine years ago. He made many great connections and was invited to exactly the companies he wanted to visit.
Since Finnmetko is all about forest machines and Caldaro has worked with the Nordic forest industry for many years, almost all the machines had either a joystick or pedal or both from Caldaro.
We are thrilled that travel to expos is almost back to normal after the pandemic years. We look forward to meeting you at Bauma, München, in late October.
